Blue Box Toys

We have a selection of Blue Box Toys from Hong Kong in the 1960’s with boxes that we could reproduce, including a retailers display box outer container. However, we have a long list of other boxes that are ahead of these in priority. So, we thought we should “ask the audience”.

Is your collection in need of a reproduction replacement box for one of the following models ? Would your Blue-Box collection look good with a retailers display box as a part of it ?

The boxes that we have include models; 7421, 7422, 7423, 7424, 7425, 7429, 7430, 7431, 7432 as well as the display box.

Tonys Toys - A Collection of Toys from the 20th Century — Tonys Toys – A Collection of Toys from the 20th Century

A new link to Tonys Toys personal toy collection has been added to the menu here at RecoverToy. A lot of the parts we have and knowledge around antique die-cast toys is due to the collection that has been built up over the last 30 years or so, as well as childhood memories.

The collection includes toys from Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox, Mattel, Tri-ang, Australian Micro, Streamlux, Hong Kong Plastic from CH and TLC, Lincoln International and many others including a collection of R&L Cereal Toys.

New Reproduction Boxes

We have some new toy reproduction boxes in preparation at the moment including some Tri-ang Scalex boat boxes for the 414 and 415 boats.

Currently we are updating all the pictures of our Matchbox Lesney reproduction boxes to provide clearer images as some of them were over a decade old and taken with a comparatively low resolution camera.

A change to the format of the Schuco Micro Racer box. Where the original had an oval view hole for the colour of the vehicle and in the past we have tried to provide that cut-out, it is not as clean as we would like and we have elected to skip the cut-out and leave that face of the box with just plain colour.

If you have a tatty old box that you would like reproduced contact us for an appraisal. We have capacity for almost any box size including a 40″ bed high capacity roll printer for even the largest boxes and antique toy posters.

eBay price updates

RecoverToy runs eBay stores in Australia, the USA and UK. With the constantly changing exchange rates we sometimes have prices that are inconsistent between the sites. There was some spent today validating the RecoverToy_USA eBay store to check that pricing was consistent. We found that there were a number of listings that had been posted with parcel post pricing and not letter post pricing. Those listings have been updated and around 100 listings dropped from a high parcel post rate back to the US$4 flat rate post.

New 1300 phone number for RecoverToy

As we start to get our new website setup we have added a 1300 number to provide another point of contact.

Being based in Melbourne, Australia, our time zone is usually GMT +1000 hours or GMT +1100 hours during our summer daylight saving time.

RecoverToy is open again!

After our lengthy shutdown in 2014 due to family illness, we re-opened in late November and are still working to catch up on orders and our stock.

This store is currently undergoing a re-design and we have to ask you to excuse the mess. Some things are not working quite right but will be back up shortly.
